Essay references website

Published on 19 May 2020 by Jack Caulfield. To reference a website in Harvard style, include the name of the author or organization, the year of publication, the title of the page, the URL, and the date on which you accessed the website.

Use the newspaper article category for articles from newspaper websites such as The New York Times or The Washington Post. Provide the writer as the author. Provide the specific date the story was published. Provide the title of the news story in italic sentence case. List the name of the news website in the source element of the reference.

Put the page number all the way to the right, and a shortened version of the title of your paper all the way to the left in all capital letters. Capitalize the author's last name and first initial, followed by a period. Only capitalize the first word of a journal article title, unless the title contains a proper noun (called sentence case).

MLA citation for web pages is slightly different from the previous one, but the essential data you need for the Works Cited list remains the same.
